Guitars
My main guitar for live gigs is a 1962 Fender Stratocaster. I also have either another strat or Telecaster on stage as a spare.
Guitar Amplifiers
Most of the time I use a Fender Hot Rod DeLuxe amp. This is an all valve amp with a superb sound. For acoustic gigs I use a Fender Acoustasonic amp.
other guitars
I also use a Fender Electric XII (twelve string), a Gibson ES335 dot and a Yamaha APX4.
microphone
I use a Shure Beta 57a mic. This is ideal for female voices with it's very smooth response. It also rarely gives any feedback problems.
PA System
For theatre work I use the house systems. For other gigs I use a Dynacord 600 power mixer through a pair of Electrovoice Sx300 speakers. I also use a Peavey powered monitor.
Effects Unit
I use a BOSS ME50 multi-FX unit for my guitars. For recording vocals on my backing tracks I sometimes use a DBX ProVocal effects unit.
